Dear Connections Learning Center Families and Community,
It is with great excitement that I introduce myself to you as the new principal of CLC for the 2017-18 school year. My name is Megan Martinez, and I have the privilege of leading the great work that our school is known for. I am honored to serve our students, staff, and community and look forward to forming partnerships and collaborating to create the conditions necessary to help our students reach their fullest potential.
I began my twelve years as a public educator as a special education teacher in both elementary and middle school. From there my desire to make a positive impact on an entire school community and to help build teacher capacity lead me to become an instructional coach. I spent the last two years as an assistant principal working with an at-risk population. I hope to bring those years of teaching, coaching, and administrative work to create a school where everyone feels supported, safe, and excited about their learning.
My passion and dedication is to our children. There is no greater happiness than helping a student discover their hidden super powers, and seeing their confidence build both academically and behaviorally. One of the most important aspects of my work as principal is building relationships with students, families, and staff members. It takes all stakeholders to truly have an impact on a student’s life and I am so proud to be apart of the CLC community!
